General purpose

To assist in managing customer projects; practice project management tasks.
Main Responsibility Area
Assists in project management tasks. Plans and manages execution of part of the project or sub project. Ensures that all project milestones are met in own responsibility area by using global processes, tools and interfaces.

Individual portfolio

Typically 1-2 years relevant experience, fully competent. Uses functionally specific knowledge.

Performs day-to-day activates to meet departmental/project objectives. Requires immoderate supervision. Applies commonly recognized concepts within their field of expertise. Shares knowledge with less experienced peers or have high collegial interaction. Raises innovative ideas.

Essential Knowledge

Knowledge and experience on Huawei PS Core with minimum of 3 years experience on Optimization O&M support, configurations, troubleshooting.

RAN Expert provides technical expertise for 3G/4G  to support all Network Operations functions and is main interface with (NOKIA)  Operation Support functions on technical matters regarding Network Operations for all technologies(LTE/3G) in scope.


  • Responsible for Nokia BSS Software upgrade & hardware upgrade as per new release

  • Responsible for Nokia mc-RNC/RNC migration with another vendor SGSN  

  • Leadership & Management of Technical Engineers & Technicians teams

  • Responsible for New release BTS , Node ,E-Node, mc-RNC,WCDMA RNC Upgrade 

  • Responsible for New feature testing and implementation for Nokia BSS –System

  • Technical support skills per technology (LTE/3G)

  • Technical support to Nokia Fault Management function

  • Technical support to Nokia Performance Management function

  • Technical support to Nokia Configuration Management function

  • Ensures collaboration of technical teams to resolve complex matters

  • Technical support on Nokia technology 24x7 (Call-out)



  • Handling Customer Complain for 3G & LTE sites

  • Responsible for Nokia complex technical matters are resolved

  • Ensures support to plan/execute complex network HW/SW upgrades

  • Ensures technical expertise for investigations into major outages

  • Responsible for Nokia technical competence development for Net Ops functions

  • Ensures routine maintenance checks are documented, scheduled and undertaken

  • Ensures technical expertise for PM report analysis and resolving within agreed time frame

Qualifications


  1. Min  8 Years of RAN expert experience which must include 5 years as Nokia 
  2. Qualification: Engineering degree in Telecommunication 
  3. Certification in IP (CCNA/CCNP) and Linux/Unix  preferred 
  4. Team player and a good communicator
